If you are looking for a home in the city, you may be interested in a cabin that is ready for updating. This small cabin has a screened porch that overlooks a four-acre lake. You also have a 30’x30′ detached garage. Another great feature of the home is that it has hardwood floors and original woodwork.
The area around Hamilton was previously unsettled prairie land owned by the U.S. Government, so there were a number of Confederate bushwhackers who targeted the town. When the war came to a head, the majority of the residents of Hamilton held pro-Union sympathies. A local Home Guard unit protected the town and helped thwart the bushwhackers.
In addition to the cabin, you will have access to a 40-acre property with a 42’x54′ metal barn. It also includes a 4-acre lake stocked with catfish and bass.
Several nice updates have been made to this home. The seller is also willing to wire the home.
